The Morning after the Wedding of the Year

Mr and Mrs Hamilton - the happy couple. Pictured here in the lovely Bushmills Inn, Bushmills, somewhere in Northern Ireland! What a lush weekend. I knew to expect that it would be so lovely to celebrate the wedding of a really good friend, and her lovely (now) husband who I am gradually getting to know better (the groom's speech provided much insight, as did wee chats here and then - yes i am using 'wee' in normal conversation now, to show my fondness for the Irish!) It was a truly bootiful wedding with lots of fun and games.

As you can see the dashing Mr McCann handled his wedding favour with breathtaking skill and agility! The other favours included parachuting men, bubbles galore and buzzing creatures - always useful in the bath!
Jan looked stunning to say the least in a simple, yet very - Jan gown and a lovely winter warmer at the ceremony. And after a really lovely ceremony we enjoyed a proper lamb roast, enjoyed all the more upon being informed that the 7 or 8 lambs that we feasted upon had been found and prepared by our very own Vet, Jeremy Hamilton! Jan - you have a very useful and handy husband, especially for those desert island situations!!!
Twas lovely to sit with Gem and Graeme who are just celebrating their first anniversary and this pic of Jan and Gem is sweet, as she was of course one of their many bridesmaids last year. Plus sitting with the McCanns is always a laugh and Gemma kept me amused for the duration of the evening, or did I keep her amused? Either way I was a happy bird!
Admittedly, the bestman and groom's speeches were probably some of the best I had heard, and the way the bestman got us interacting was impressive! Plus the video at the end with some pics and Coldplay's "Fix You" in the background certainly caused a few tears. I think what I loved best was their kindness in choosing to only escape on their honeymoon two days later (i.e tomorrow) so that they could spend today with friends and family. This meant that we enjoyed a lovely pub lunch and walk along the northern irish coast - a perfect end to a fab weekend. Thanks guys, can't wait to see you in England - Devon or Brizzle, you are always welcome!

Love that this picture freaked out Jeremy so much when he saw it on my camera!
